What’s up guys, a friend of mine stopped by today and he actually looked at the front of my house and told me I needed to do something about it. He was telling me that the pipes going into the front of the house should actually match the color of the house. So I decided to run out to Walmart and pick up bottle of spray paint. I really wasn’t thinking much of it because I’ve gotten used to seeing it and I didn’t notice every time I walked into the house that the pipes running into the front the house for the water softener had a different color than the front of the house itself.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not like I live in a crappy house. Is just that it didn’t phase me. Once I want to head in painted the pipes I noticed how much better it looked. All of this brings me to the point of this post. We really have to maintain our curb appeal. It’s pretty simple to do. One of the things that I find is that if you simply add fresh mulch and make sure the plants don’t look dead or you trim off the leaves that look burned or simply look raggedy you can drastically improve the look and feel of the front of your home. I just got back from a trip to Cuba. One of the things that I noticed there was that they tried to make sure that they’re almost did not look too appealing because it attracted burglars. However, in our society this is not something that we have to contend with on a daily basis. So it always makes sense to make sure the front of your home is inviting and appealing. Heck, it’s part of the American dream right? I mean we all dreamed of having our own home one day and making sure that it looked the part. We wanted it to look something like… Fresh off a movie set. It’s funny when you watch TV and you notice the homestead the actors living. Have you ever noticed that sometimes somebody that most likely would not have the type of income to afford a particular house and a movie has a really nice house? Sometimes I wonder if this doesn’t just push up our expectations.
In any case if you’ve ever thought about participating in the real estate market, I have a friend that suggests you check out this blog that did a review of mike lacava.
Same guy that told me to paint my pipes….that sounds kind’a weird. But overall it was a good reminder to keep up with things. It’s important.
